Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mariano Neal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Melcome Victor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mariano Neal has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Mariano Neal!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Melcome Victor!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Ackerman and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Neal closes this distance looking for a takedown but Victor circles away.
Victor is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Neal tries a head kick but it misses.
Neal swings widly with a right hand
and Victor counters with a three punch combo that has Neal backing up. Neal nods at Victor to acknowledge the strikes.

Victor shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Neal napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Neal throws Victor to one side and escapes!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

An elbow from Victor crashes against the mat.
Victor misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Neal avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Victor.
Victor throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Neal works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Victor thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Neal's head.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Victor postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Neal to stand up.

Victor looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Victor not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Victor has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Victor is taking a breather. Neal says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Victor moves into full mount! Neal won't be happy about that!
Neal could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Neal is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Neal tries to lock up and control but Victor gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Victor sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Neal tries to hold on but Victor postures up.

Victor misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

Neal wants to hold on but Victor pushes him away.
Victor throwing shots from mount but they're not landing.
Victor working some short elbows here. He postures up to throw some more ground and pound but Neal slips a leg through to get back to half guard. Nice work.
Victor thows a huge punch but Neal dodges it nicely.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Victor scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Neal is trying to control Victor's posture but Victor avoids it.
Victor throws a strike aimed at the side of Neal's head but Neal avoids it well.
Neal parries the strikes from Victor easily there. Victor is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Neal to escape.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Victor stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Victor manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Neal on his heels. He'll look to pass Neal's guard now, I'm sure.

Neal pushes Victor off and scrambles back to his feet.

Victor is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Neal's half guard.
Victor takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Victor stands up and beckons Neal to join him on the feet.

Neal gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Victor to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Victor keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Neal's head.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Neal wants to get back to his feet but Victor is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Victor wants to control from the top but Neal keeps moving.

Neal is working an open guard so Victor takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Victor closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Victor perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Victor misses with a head shot. Neal uses the momentum to regain guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Victor sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Neal's guard.
Neal regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Victor.
Victor in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Victor trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Victor trying to control the position from guard on top but Neal is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Victor stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Neal closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.

Neal gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Victor stays in close to Neal's body and controls the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Melcome Victor showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!



Victor moves into the clinch.
Neal looking to stall.

Victor jumps guard and drags Neal to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Victor wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Victor is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Victor keeping moving, preventing Neal from controlling successfully.
Victor utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Victor gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Victor drags the fight down to the ground.

Victor is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Neal throws a big right hand that misses.
Neal tries to stand but Victor is controlling from the bottom.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Neal throws a sloppy head kick and Victor moves out of range easily.
Victor has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Victor has Neal up against the cage in a clinch.

Victor tries to circle away but Neal has him pinned against the cage.
Neal has Victor pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Victor manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Victor is trying to push Neal away but Neal has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Victor can't break the clinch.
Neal is trying to maintain a safe position but Victor gets an underhook and turns Neal into the cage.
Victor is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Neal is defending well for now.
Neal has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Victor is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Neal prevents Victor from breaking the clinch.

Victor pulls guard successfully.
Victor bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Neal's guard.

Neal wants to stand and escape but Victor is having none of it.

Victor slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Neal wants to stand but Victor is controlling the position.
Victor throws a big elbow that misses.

Melcome Victor is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Well Victor has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
