Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Roland Deschain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shaq Double J (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Double J has chosen GSP - Im not impressed as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Roland Deschain has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Sam Margolis and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Deschain.
Deschain looks to land a left hand but Double J moved out of range nicely.
Deschain tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Double J changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Deschain looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Deschain is not content to let Double J control the position.
Deschain on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Double J cracks Deschain with a big right hand but Deschain just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Deschain is trying to control Double J's posture but Double J avoids it.
Double J prevents Deschain from escaping the position.

You can see the frustration on Deschain's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Double J in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.

Deschain tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Double J fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Deschain manages to avoid it.
Deschain is looking to clinch but Double J is avoiding it.

and Deschain counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Double J thinking.
Deschain tries to bum rush Double J with a series of wild strikes but Double J uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Double J ducks under a wild hook from Deschain.
Deschain doesn't manage to clinch there - Double J circles away.

Deschain cracks a nice hook into Double J's ribs.
Double J tries to keep at a distance but Deschain has taken the fight into the clinch.
Deschain gets through Double J's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Double J tries for a takedown but Deschain manages to get underhooks.
Double J wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Double J drops down looking for an ankle pick but Deschain pulls his leg out and moves away.
Deschain tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Double J paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Double J tries to keep at a distance but Deschain has taken the fight into the clinch.
Deschain scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Deschain lands a nice uppercut.
Double J goes for a takedown attempt but Deschain pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Roland Deschain has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shaq Double J.
Deschain will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Roland Deschain will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Deschain wants to clinch up but Double J keeps it at a distance.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Deschain throws the left hand but Double J avoids the punch easily.

Roland Deschain seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Deschain swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Deschain lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Double J circles away quickly and effectively.
Deschain scores with a nice strike.
The fight stays on the outside here - Double J looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Roland Deschain is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Double J looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Deschain!
Deschain is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Double J is landing with some decent strikes but Deschain is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Deschain wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Double J.
Double J has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Double J lands a heavy elbow.
Double J connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Deschain is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Double J postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Deschain in real trouble here! The ref calls for Deschain to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
