The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zamora with a lazy takedown attempt
and Gator counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Zamora shoots and misses
and Gator counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Gator shoots in and gets a takedown into Zamora's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gator stays in close to Zamora's body and controls the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Gator gets caught flat footed, as Zamora shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Zamora accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Gator has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Zamora has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Gator decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Gator has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gator is looking to break free of the clinch but Zamora has double underhooks.
Gator keeps control of Zamora as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Gator throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Gator is on top in guard.

Gator wants to control from the top but Zamora keeps moving.
Gator won't allow Zamora to get back to his feet.
Gator sitting in guard here, content to control.
Gator stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Zamora swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Gator working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Gator sitting in guard, not really doing much.

Zamora is working an open guard so Gator takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Gator tests Zamora's chin there with a solid looking shot.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Zamora shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gator as he jumps to the side.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Aliie Gator showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Gator moves into range and clinches up with Zamora.

Gator has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Zamora uses from the top position.

Gator escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Zamora gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Gator is trying to control the position but Zamora postures up.
Zamora really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Gator throws his legs up looking for a submission but Zamora uses it to pass to side control.

Gator is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Gator decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Gator works Zamora's body with a nice hook.

Gator fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Zamora to the ground. Gator is now in Zamora's guard.

Gator wants to control from the top but Zamora keeps moving.
Gator trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Gator is looking to work some ground and pound but Zamora has wrist control.

Zamora wriggles free and stands up.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Zamora shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Gator pinned against the cage. Gator gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Gator looks like he wants to counter punch here.

Gator drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Gator stands up and beckons Zamora to his feet.

Gator shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Zamora's guard.
Zamora is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Gator stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Zamora swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Well Gator has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
