Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Anthony Melendez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lin Shui (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anthony Melendez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lin Shui!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Shigeki Fujiwara.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Melendez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Shui swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Shui lands a right hook to the body.
Melendez fails in his attempt to clinch.
Shui lands a jab to Melendez's midsection.
Melendez shoots in looking for a takedown. Shui tries to sprawl out of it but Melendez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Shui manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Shui. Melendez shrugs it off though.
Shui lands with a cross.
Shui dips to his left and cracks Melendez with an uppercut!

Melendez is rocked!
Shui fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Melendez looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Oh Melendez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Shui moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Melendez walks into a left hand.

Shui has managed to clinch.
Shui scores with an uppercut up the middle.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Shui lands a nice uppercut.
Melendez drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Melendez has Shui pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Shui manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Anthony Melendez. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Shui manages to break the clinch.
Melendez seems to have got his legs back now.
Shui with a jab.
Shui lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Melendez at a distance.
Both fighters circling a little - Shui finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Shui lands with a good body shot.
Melendez tries to clinch up.
Shui jabs Melendez right on the nose. Melendez blinks but takes it well.
Shui lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Melendez head around and knocks him out cold! Shui hops onto the ropes and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Lin Shui!
After the fight, Lin Shui was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
