The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz shoots in and bounces Charlsworth off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Diaz distracts Charlsworth with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Diaz stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Charlsworth swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Charlsworth holds on and takes a little breather.

Diaz is looking to take a break and control but Charlsworth is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Diaz frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Charlsworth knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Diaz on the ground.
Diaz has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Charlsworth 's face.

Diaz is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Charlsworth is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Charlsworth flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Diaz anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Charlsworth and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Diaz slips an arm under Charlsworth chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Diaz has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Diaz is squeezing on Charlsworth like an anaconda would it's prey. Charlsworth fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Hector Diaz!
Hector Diaz decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
