Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Maurice Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucas Pereira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith comes to the cage accompanied by Bow Down (to no man). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Pereira's calf.
Pereira stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Smith.
Smith works the jab nicely.
Smith goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
And Pereira tries to counter it with a takedown but Smith pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Pereira gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Smith looks to score with a jab to the body but Pereira is just out of range.
Pereira changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pereira slips under a jab from Smith.
Smith throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Smith pounces like a tiger and cracks Pereira with a vicious hook! Pereira is down but not out! Smith follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
