The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jelani throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Magnetti.
Magnetti dives in for a single leg takedown but Jelani sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Jelani shoots in and gets a takedown into Magnetti's guard.
Jelani keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Magnetti's head.

Jelani avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Magnetti doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Jelani lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Jelani distracts Magnetti with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Magnetti is trying to hold Jelani in close to prevent damage but Jelani has managed to pass into half guard.
Jelani takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Jelani lands a nice short elbow.
Jelani is nestled in close to Magnetti, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Magnetti is breathing heavily.
