And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 28 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Watson!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Ren Mimura and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Watson swings for the body but Roos moves out of range.

We've been hearing reports that Roos has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Roos shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Watson as he avoids it easily.
Watson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Roos moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Roos tries to counter with a takedown but Watson is quick to defend against it.
Roos bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Roos throws a right and a left that Watson avoids nicely.

Roos takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Roos shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Watson is trying to defend but Roos finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Roos shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Watson sprawls well. Watson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Roos gets slowly back to his feet.

Watson lands a brutal head kick. Roos looks out on his feet and Watson throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
