Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Annakin Drako (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Javier Arroyo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Arroyo gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Arroyo scores with a hook to the body.

Arroyo pulls guard effortlessly.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Drako forces his way into half guard.
Arroyo wants to get back to his feet.

Drako is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Arroyo defends it well.

Arroyo has one foot on Drako's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Drako shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Arroyo's guard.
Drako stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Arroyo swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Drako prevents Arroyo from getting back to his feet.
Arroyo manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Drako manages to get himself to full guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Drako keeping moving, preventing Arroyo from controlling successfully.
Arroyo stands and throws Drako's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Drako is not content to let Arroyo control the position.

Arroyo working the ground and pound but Drako is defending the strikes.
Drako is trying to control Arroyo's posture but Arroyo avoids it.
Arroyo is working Drako over with some ground and pound from side control.
Arroyo wants to control but Drako is keeping him busy.
Arroyo is putting a hurting on Drako here, landing some big shots from side control.

It looks like Annakin Drako has been cut.
Arroyo lands a nice forearm strike.

Arroyo looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Arroyo creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Drako sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Drako regains half guard.
Drako wants to get back to full guard.

Drako is in trouble now - Arroyo has advanced to mount!
Arroyo lands a big shot there that rocks Drako but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Arroyo lands a heavy shot. That's hurt Drako! Arroyo sees the opportunity and turns up the heat - strike after strike land to the defenseless Drako and the ref dives in to save him! This one is all over!
