Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Emmett Burch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamie Jordan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Emmett Burch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Paul Gruel and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jordan is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Burch's half guard.
Jordan trying to pass the guard but Burch defending well.
Jordan wants to take a breather but Burch is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jordan tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Burch could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Jordan thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Burch is trying to stand up here but Jordan is controlling him well.

Burch is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Jordan pulls his head out easily.
Burch is staying active underneath Jordan , who seems content to just control the action from this position.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Jordan prevents Burch from standing back up.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Jordan uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Burch.

Burch wants to get back to striking at distance but Jordan won't allow it.

Burch postures up and lands a big shot to Jordan 's brow.
Jordan is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Burch postures up in Jordan 's guard and throws a big left but Jordan blocks it.
Burch has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Burch wants to pass the guard but Jordan is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Burch missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Jordan is looking to stand up but Burch isn't so interested in that idea.
Jordan is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Jordan turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Jordan manages to end up in side control.
Burch throws Jordan to one side and escapes!
Burch throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Jordan wants to clinch up but Burch keeps it at a distance.
Jordan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Burch paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Horrible takedown attempt by Burch or perhaps it was just good defense by Jordan , which made it look bad.
Burch shoots in but no luck this time.
Jordan throws a big counter head kick but Burch avoids it with no problem.

Burch tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Jordan was well out of range. Poor timing from Burch.
Jordan avoids the body shot from Burch.
Jamie Jordan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Burch gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Burch manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jordan just leaning against Burch, taking a breather.
Burch wants to break the clinch but can't.
Burch looking to throw knees to the head but Jordan is blocking nicely.
Burch has had enough of the clinch but Jordan keeps him there for the moment.
Jordan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Emmett Burch will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Jordan lunges at Burch with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Burch's hand.
Jordan throws a front kick that sends Burch stumbling back into the cage.
Jordan moves into the clinch.
Jordan manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Jordan is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Burch postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jordan is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Burch, into his guard.

Jordan has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Burch is proving hard to escape from.
Jordan stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Burch fails with a takedown attempt.
Jordan instigates a clinch.
Jordan breaks from the clinch.
Jordan lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Burch circles away quickly and effectively.
Jordan throws a body kick that misses.

Jordan throws a leg kick but Burch checks it.
Burch appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Jordan closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Burch quickly recovers to half guard.
Burch might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Burch tries to roll over but Jordan keeps him under control.
Jordan content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Burch is looking for a sweep. Jordan is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Burch is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

Burch wants to control but Jordan is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Jordan is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jordan works Burch's body with a nice hook.
Jordan connects with a single shot there.
Jordan closes the distance and clinches.
Burch is fighting off a takedown attempt but Jordan is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Burch to the mat. Burch regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Burch kicks Jordan off and gets to his feet.

Jordan gets a double leg takedown into Burch's guard.
Jordan is breathing heavily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Burch wants to stand up but Jordan is controlling him.
Burch pulls Jordan in close to his closed guard and prevents Jordan from doing any damage or advancing position.
Jordan wants to pass the guard but Burch is keeping the position.
Jordan trying to control but Burch is working from the bottom.

Jamie Jordan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Jordan jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Burch fails with a takedown attempt.
Jordan throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
It looked like Burch was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Jamie Jordan seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Burch gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jordan to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Jordan drops back looking for a leg! Burch is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Burch manages to kick Jordan off! Jordan jumps back into Burch's guard.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Jordan shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Jordan takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Burch controlling the position for now.
Burch's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Burch looks like he's trying to stand up.

Burch has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jordan is working away from the top position though.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Jordan lands a nice short elbow.
Jordan has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Burch works to full guard.
Burch wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Jordan is now in half guard.
Jordan slips a nice elbow through Burch's hands, connecting with Burch's forehead.
Burch wants to improve his position but Jordan is controlling well.
Jordan lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Burch is looking for a sweep. Jordan is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Burch tries to kick Jordan off but Jordan keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Jordan prevents Burch from improving his position.
Burch has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jordan is working away from the top position though.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Jordan can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Burch is looking to escape.

Well Jordan has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
