Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Andre Guy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Oliver Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson goes for a double leg but Guy avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Guy continues to drive forward.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jackson.
Jackson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Guy.
Guy swings and misses with a shot to the body

and Jackson moves into the clinch.
Jackson tries to pull guard but Guy forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

As Guy backs off Jackson throws a huge counter combo but Guy manages to avoid it all.

Jackson looks for a takedown but Guy sprawls well.
Jackson walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Jackson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Guy circles away quickly and effectively.

Jackson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Guy is fending him off so far but Jackson persists. Nope, Guy circles away and we're back to standing.

and Guy counters with a right hand to the body.
Guy scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Jackson throws a body punch but Guy moves out of range.
Guy looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jackson is fending him off so far but Guy persists. Nope, Jackson circles away and we're back to standing.
Guy lands with a shot to the body.
Jackson moves in looking to clinch but Guy pushes him off.
Guy comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.

Jackson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Guy sprawls well. Guy wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Jackson gets slowly back to his feet.
Guy bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Jackson's head backwards.
Jackson needs to keep his hands up - Guy had a free shot at his head there.
Jackson fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Guy tries to counter by clinching up but Jackson breaks away and moves out of range.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

and Guy counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Guy.

Guy has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Jackson avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Jackson is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Guy pulls him back up using the underhooks.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Jackson tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Guy stays in close to Jackson's body and controls the position.
Jackson is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Guy is controlling him.

Guy throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Jackson drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Guy defends it well.

and Guy counters with a head kick. That will keep Jackson thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jackson doesn't manage to clinch there - Guy circles away.
Guy swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

Guy tries to work over Jackson's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Guy goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Jackson tries to stall but Guy uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
Guy can't find room to land a body shot as Jackson controls the action.

Jackson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Guy moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

and Guy holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Jackson lands a nice elbow from the clinch.


It looks like Andre Guy has been cut.

Jackson manages to break the clinch.
Guy stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Guy wants it to stay on the feet.
Jackson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Guy turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Guy manages to end up in side control.
Andre Guy overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

You can see the frustration on Jackson's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Guy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jackson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
