Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Penn moves in looking to clinch but Jesus pushes him off.
Jesus has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Penn is looking to clinch.
Jesus looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Penn fails with an attempt to clinch.
Jesus lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

It looks like BJ Penn has been cut.

Jesus feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Penn looking for a sweep. Not yet Penn, not yet.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Jesus's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Jesus is in close to Penn's body, working some short punches and elbows.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Penn wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jesus postures up and lands a big shot to Penn's brow.

Penn is striking from the bottom but Jesus uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.
Penn tries to get to full guard but Jesus has control of the leg.
Penn seems to have got his legs back now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jesus slips a nice elbow through Penn's hands, connecting with Penn's forehead.
Jesus lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Penn quite badly. Penn pulls Jesus in close trying to recover. Jesus postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Penn on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Penn doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nofurgay Jesus!
