PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Robertson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hollyfield Gomes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hollyfield Gomes!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Gomes escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Robertson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Robertson manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Gomes on his heels. He'll look to pass Gomes's guard now, I'm sure.
