The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cherry closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Cherry lands in his opponent's guard.
Cherry distracts The with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cherry throws an elbow that misses. The uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Cherry's guard. Nice move by The!

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cherry is on top in guard.

Cherry is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Cherry's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Cherry drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but The manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Cherry has The in his guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Cherry sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Bob The comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well The has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Bob The decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
