PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jon Snow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pablo Escobar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Jon Snow has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Jon Snow seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jon Snow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pablo Escobar!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, David Schapiro and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Escobar misses with a straight right.
Snow seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
A slow jab from Snow misses its intended target.
Escobar moves away from the strike by Snow.
Snow throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Sloppy strikes from Snow. Those never looked like landing.
Snow pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Snow could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Escobar counters with a stiff right hand.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Escobar throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Snow.

Snow is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Escobar's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

A little jabbing left from Escobar on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

As Escobar looks to move away, Snow throws a big counter combo but Escobar just gets out of the way.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jon Snow will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Snow has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Snow there as he acknowledges the shot.

Escobar fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Snow manages to avoid it.

Snow lands a nice hook to Escobar's body. Escobar takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Snow is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.

We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Escobar in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Snow throws a sloppy head kick and Escobar moves out of range easily.
Snow bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Escobar's head backwards.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Escobar feints a jab promting Snow to slip. Escobar then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Snow slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jon Snow dominated that second round.
That's time! Snow's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jon Snow.
Well Snow has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
