Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Silus Kushman!
The judges for this bout are William Peck, Ian Loll and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kushman throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Dickson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kushman is in Dickson's guard.
Dickson has control of Kushman's left arm, preventing Kushman from doing any damage.
Dickson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Kushman lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Kushman cracks Dickson with a solid left hand.
Dickson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Kushman throws an elbow that misses. Dickson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kushman's guard. Nice move by Dickson!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dickson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kushman can do anything to dispel that myth.
Dickson stops Kushman from standing up.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Dickson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Kushman wants to stand and escape but Dickson is having none of it.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dickson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Dickson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Dickson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Dickson throws a big elbow that misses.
Dickson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kushman works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Kushman closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Dickson to the mat! Dickson manages to get full guard.
Dickson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Kushman keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Dickson's head.

Dickson is pulling down on Kushman's head. It's preventing any offense from Kushman, at least for the moment.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Kushman's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kushman lands a couple of digs.
Dickson looking for a triangle here. Kushman is fighting it but it looks tight! Dickson pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Kushman is tapping out - this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Granville Dickson!
