The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gloom throws a head kick but Trudeau moves out of range.
Gloom throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Trudeau tries to counter with a takedown but Gloom is quick to defend against it.
Trudeau takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Trudeau checks a leg kick nicely.
Gloom throws a shot from downtown. Trudeau moves away and avoids it.
Trudeau tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Gloom manages to circle out of the way.
Gloom throws a lazy head kick
and Trudeau counters with a series of strikes. Gloom will be more careful next time no doubt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Trudeau chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Gloom can pounce on him.
Gloom throws a leg kick but Trudeau moved away.
Trudeau feinted with a counter takedown.

Gloom dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

so Trudeau counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Gloom wants to hit a switch here but Trudeau passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Gloom there!
Gloom is in all sorts of trouble here.
Gloom is trying to reverse the position but instead Trudeau has taken his back - oops!
Trudeau controlling well, preventing Gloom from escaping the position.
Gloom manages to reverse the position and now he's in Trudeau's guard. Nice work there by Gloom.

Gloom wants to pass the guard but Trudeau is keeping the position.

Trudeau is looking to stand up but Gloom isn't so interested in that idea.

Trudeau wants to stand and escape but Gloom is having none of it.

Gloom drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Trudeau dives on top into guard.

Trudeau won't allow Gloom to sweep him here.

Gloom escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Trudeau gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Gloom is working an open guard so Trudeau takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Gloom lands a glancing blow to the side of Trudeau's head.

Trudeau has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Gloom.
Gloom misses with a hook.

Gloom shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Gloom showed some decent athleticism there.

Gloom is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Trudeau sees it coming and defends easily.

Gloom in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Trudeau tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Gloom!
