The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spence shoots in looking for a takedown but Ahmad manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Spence's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Spence gets caught flat footed, as Ahmad shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Ahmad missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Ahmad is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Ahmad passes Spence's left leg - he's now in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ahmad wants to pass the guard but Spence is defending well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Spence tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Ahmad seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Spence is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
