Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Scott Page (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ludwig Manres (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Manres's choice of entrance music: Aqualung - Jethro Tull. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Page connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Manres's coach down at DiscoClub was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Manres's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Page connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Nice uppercut lands for Page. That snapped Manres's head back.

Manres has control of Page's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Page regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Manres drops back looking for a leg! Page is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Page manages to kick Manres off! Manres jumps back into Page's guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Page stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Manres has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Page manages to get his head free but now Manres has transitioned to an armbar! Page grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Manres! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
