Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hans Beijer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kelvin Pouncey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Beijer comes to the cage accompanied by David hasselhoff - Looking for freedome. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Hans Beijer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 15 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Kelvin Pouncey!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yuuki Gou and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beijer tries to bum rush Pouncey with a series of wild strikes but Pouncey uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Pouncey lands a slapping body shot.
Pouncey uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Beijer has time to react.
Pouncey stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Pouncey scores with a jab to the head.
Beijer just misses with a punch to the body.
The crowd cheers as Pouncey lands an impressive looking overhand right. Beijer doesn't seem phased though.
Beijer scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Beijer drives through and clinches with Pouncey against the cage.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Beijer has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Pouncey avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Pouncey must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Beijer is controlling Pouncey's position as best he can from this difficult position.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Pouncey working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Pouncey. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Pouncey is nestled in close to Beijer, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
