Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Dillard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Will Monk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nathan Dillard has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Nathan Dillard!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Will Monk!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Phil Schofield and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monk changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dillard tries to avoid it but Monk manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dillard to the ground. Dillard escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
As Monk looks to move away, Dillard throws a big counter combo but Monk just gets out of the way.

Monk closes the distance and clinches.
Monk lands a body punch.
Monk has Dillard pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Dillard manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Dillard's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Dillard really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Monk dives in for a single leg takedown but Dillard sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Dillard enables Monk to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Dillard manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Horrible takedown attempt by Dillard or perhaps it was just good defense by Monk, which made it look bad.

Will Monk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dillard fails with an attempt to clinch.
Monk flicks out a counter leg kick but Dillard steps away.
Dillard shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Monk as he avoids it easily.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dillard.

That's time! Dillard's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
