Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Michel Trevino!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Lee Parker!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Richard Clark and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trevino is trying hard to land a takedown here. Parker sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Parker dives in and grabs Trevino's left leg, looking for a takedown. Trevino pushes down on Parker's head and hops out.

Trevino clinches up with Parker and pushes him back against the cage.
Parker is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Parker breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Parker instigates a clinch.

Trevino gets control of Parker's arms and successfully pulls guard. Trevino will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Parker swings around for an armbar but Trevino sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Parker's guard.

Trevino distracts Parker with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Trevino has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Parker is proving hard to escape from.
Trevino is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Trevino postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Parker is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Parker has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Trevino can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Parker wants to sweep but no luck.
Parker is trying to control the position but Trevino postures up.
Trevino connects with a couple of short punches.
Trevino landing with the ground and pound.

Parker looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Trevino's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Trevino is in close to Parker's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Trevino content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Parker is trying to keep Trevino in close.
Parker looks winded!

Trevino gets to his feet - Parker follows without any prompting.
Nice sprawl there from Parker as Trevino shoots in.
Trevino fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Parker throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
It looked like Trevino was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Parker feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Trevino is on top in guard.

Trevino wants to pass the guard but Parker is keeping the position.
Trevino is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Trevino with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Trevino accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Trevino works over Parker with some ground and pound from guard.

Trevino throws a strike but Parker rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.


Parker got a little sloppy there for a moment and Trevino has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Parker has managed to get both his arms back between Trevino's legs - danger averted.

Trevino is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Trevino darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Parker manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Trevino keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Trevino breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Parker shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Trevino sprawls well. Trevino wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Parker gets slowly back to his feet.

Parker moves into range and clinches up with Trevino.

Trevino lands a right hand that snaps the head of Parker backwards.
Parker fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Trevino jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Parker walks away with a smile on his face. Trevino gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Trevino is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Parker can do to turn this around?

Parker drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Trevino gets the underhooks and prevents it.

and Trevino counters with a three punch combo that has Parker backing up. Parker nods at Trevino to acknowledge the strikes.

Parker misses with a few strikes there.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Trevino.
Parker goes for a double leg but Trevino avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Trevino continues to drive forward.
Trevino is looking for a counter combo.
Trevino avoids a kick to the body.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Trevino breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Michel Trevino is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Parker gets caught napping as Trevino dives in and scores a takedown. Parker manages to retain guard.
Trevino chips away with some ground and pound.
Trevino scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Parker wants to stand up but Trevino is controlling him.

Trevino postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

Trevino stands up and waves to Parker to follow him.
Trevino shoots in for a takedown but Parker shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Parker drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Trevino defends it well.
Parker misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Trevino closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Parker takes a knee right on the jaw!
Trevino makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Lee Parker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Trevino scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Parker has his takedown stuffed
and Trevino makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Trevino moves into range and clinches up with Parker.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
