The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Coccotti moves into the clinch.
Petersen using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Coccotti has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Petersen has had enough of the clinch but Coccotti keeps him there for the moment.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Coccotti.
Petersen really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
A head punch on the inside from Petersen fails to land.
Petersen misses with a knee strike.
Petersen goes for a takedown attempt but Coccotti pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Coccotti misses with a two punch combination.
Coccotti shoots in looking for a takedown. Petersen tries to sprawl out of it but Coccotti keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Petersen manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Coccotti fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Petersen throws a big counter combination but Coccotti scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Petersen gets tackled into the cage by Coccotti. Coccotti maintains the clinch.
Coccotti is looking to break free of the clinch but Petersen has double underhooks.

Coccotti is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Petersen is defending well for now.
Petersen tries to break the clinch but Coccotti is controlling the position.

Oh Petersen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Coccotti moves into range and clinches up with Petersen.

Coccotti breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Coccotti connects with a solid leg kick.

Coccotti shoots in for a takedown. Oh, that's a huge slam! Petersen is on queer street and Coccotti is pounding down on him with a barage of strikes. The ref is forced to step in and stop the fight. Great finish!
