Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Desmond Flannery (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Baby Huey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Flannery might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Dropkick Murphys - I'm Shipping Up To Boston. The crowd seem to be enjoying Huey's choice of entrance music: Baby Huey - A change is going to come. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Danga de danga de dang - Huey scores with a four punch combination!
It looks like Desmond Flannery has been cut.
Huey throws a looping overhand right but Flannery ducks down to avoid it.
Flannery keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Baby Huey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Flannery slips under a jab.
Huey misses with an uppercut. Flannery saw that one coming.
Huey gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Flannery to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Flannery trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Huey is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Flannery is controlling him.
Flannery working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Huey wants to stand and escape but Flannery is having none of it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Flannery postures up in Huey's guard and throws a big left but Huey blocks it.
Flannery might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

We've been hearing that Flannery has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Flannery's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Huey is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Flannery stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Huey swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Flannery throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Huey works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Flannery distracts Huey with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Flannery won't allow Huey to get back to his feet.

Flannery trying to control the position from guard on top but Huey is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Huey lands a nice looking body shot.

Huey fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Flannery on the side of the head.
A jab from Huey misses.
Flannery tries to counter with a takedown but Huey is quick to defend against it.
Huey throws a hook but Flannery avoids it easily.
Flannery shoots for a takedown but Huey saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Huey drops Flannery with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Flannery looks back up at him and smiles so Huey waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Flannery appears to be looking for a counter takedown.

Huey throws a looping overhand right but Flannery ducks down to avoid it.

Flannery drops down looking for a counter takedown but Huey sprawls and moves away.
Huey connects with a right hand. Flannery shakes it off.

Nice uppercut there from Huey.
Huey lands a big uppercut and Flannery crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Flannery looks OK. Huey waves Flannery back to his feet!
Flannery is rocked!
Huey is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Flannery flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Flannery is out cold! Huey holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
