Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 23 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, James Charleston!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 17 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vincent Escargesa!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Sergei Dronov and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Charleston moves in looking to clinch but Escargesa pushes him off.
Escargesa keeps the fight on the outside.

Escargesa rushes Charleston and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Charleston drops down looking for an ankle pick but Escargesa pulls his leg out and moves away.
Escargesa tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Charleston swivels and escapes.

Charleston tries to keep at a distance but Escargesa has taken the fight into the clinch.
Charleston tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Charleston throws an elbow that misses.
Escargesa cracks Charleston with a nice body shot.
Escargesa is pushing Charleston up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Escargesa breaks from the clinch.
Escargesa has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Charleston tries a head kick but it misses.
Charleston tries to clinch up.
Charleston moves to clinch but Escargesa breaks away
and Escargesa counters with a two punch combo.
Vincent Escargesa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A punch combination from Escargesa misses.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Escargesa closes the distance and clinches.
We've been hearing reports that Charleston has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Charleston tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Charleston tries to circle away but Escargesa has him pinned against the cage.
Escargesa lands a right hand.
Escargesa scores with a shot to the side of Charleston's head.


It looks like James Charleston has been cut.
Charleston looking to throw knees to the head but Escargesa is blocking nicely.
Escargesa lands an uppercut.
Escargesa makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Escargesa creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Charleston's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Charleston drops to his knees and Escargesa pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
