Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Norberto Kent!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, David Soul!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Ackerman and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Soul shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Kent wriggles free and stands up.

Kent closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Kent throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Soul to regain full guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kent throwing strikes from guard but Soul blocks nicely.
Kent working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Soul has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Kent is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Kent is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Soul is defending well.

Kent pulls Soul into guard.

Kent has his foot on Soul's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Soul works his way back into a safe position though.
Kent tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Kent has an active guard here but Soul has managed to pass into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Kent looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Kent is breathing heavily.
Kent is trying to get back to full guard.

Soul stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Kent to get to his feet.
No joy there for Soul, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Kent tries to keep at a distance but Soul has taken the fight into the clinch.
Kent is looking to control Soul's arms but Soul gets an underhook and turns him. Now Kent has his back to the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kent keeps control of Soul as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Kent wants to take the fight to the mat but Soul manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Kent obliges.
A shot in the inside from Soul.
Soul looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Soul is trying to break free.
Soul is trying to break the clinch but Kent has him pressed against the cage.

Soul manages to pull guard.

Soul wriggles free and stands up.

Kent forces Soul back against the cage and clinches.
Kent tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Norberto Kent. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Soul gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kent flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Kent is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Soul jumps into side control!

Soul stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Soul moves into the clinch.
Soul has had enough of the clinch but Kent keeps him there for the moment.
Soul has Kent pressed against the cage, preventing Kent from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Soul slowing the pace effectively.

Soul jumps into guard, dragging Kent to the mat.

Soul pushes Kent off and scrambles back to his feet.

Soul drives through with a takedown into Kent's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Kent wants to control but Soul passes easily into half guard.

Soul decides to stand up.
Kent tries to close the distance and clinch but Soul swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
You can follow us on Twitter at...Ooooooh Kent got wobbled bad by a big combination! Soul presses forward with punches and knees until Kent stumbles to the ground! The ref watches Kent closely before deciding to step in and end the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). David Soul!
