Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Trill takes the fight into the clinch.
Herritt scores with a hook to the body.
Trill blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Herritt throws a punch but it's blocked by Trill.
Trill fails to pull guard.
Trill lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Herritt backwards.
Herritt stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Trill lands an elbow inside.
Trill lands a right hand that snaps the head of Herritt backwards.
A nice right hand lands inside from Trill.
Trill lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Herritt misses with a short punch on the inside.
Herritt wants a takedown.
Herritt tries to break the clinch but Trill is controlling the position.
Trill jumps guard but Herritt stands there with Trill around his waist. Trill gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Herritt wants the takedown. Trill is fighting it off but Herritt persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Trill's guard against the cage.

Trill has momentary wrist control but Herritt slips an elbow through the middle.

Trill working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Herritt doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Herritt manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Herritt is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Herritt is nestled in close to Trill, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Trill is not content to let Herritt control the position.

Herritt gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Trill.

Trill wants to control but Herritt is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Herritt thows a huge punch but Trill dodges it nicely.

Trill is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Herritt jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Trill manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Herritt throws a nice outside leg kick.
Herritt has a takedown stuffed.
Trill clinches but Herritt breaks the clinch

and Herritt counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Trill moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Herritt is looking to work some ground and pound but Trill has wrist control.
Herritt wants to control from the top but Trill keeps moving.
Trill is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Trill manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Herritt manages to get himself to full guard.

Trill thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Ryan Herritt showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!

Trill is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Herritt will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Herritt shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Trill as he jumps to the side.
Herritt shoots in looking for a takedown. Trill tries to sprawl out of it but Herritt keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Trill manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Hank Trill has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan Herritt.

Trill drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Trill passes Herritt's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Herritt wants to control but Trill is keeping busy.
Trill uses his free foot to push down on Herritt's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Herritt.

Trill moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Herritt has worked his arm free - good work by Herritt!

Trill tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Trill has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Herritt tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Trill wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
You can see the frustration on Herritt's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Trill tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Trill has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Herritt is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Trill's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Herritt tries to roll over but Trill keeps him under control.

Trill has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Herritt defend it? Trill steps over the head and cranks it - Herritt is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Trill!
