The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sims gets caught flat footed, as Weldon shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Weldon throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Sims works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Sims really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Sims has a closed guard, preventing Weldon from standing up.
Sims seems keen to control Weldon's posture.
Weldon throws a big elbow that misses.
Weldon lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Sims throws some sloppy strikes off his back.

Weldon must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Sims has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Sims lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Sims goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Weldon is on top in guard.

Weldon drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Sims dives on top into guard.

Sims will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Sims working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Weldon's head.

Sims gets to his feet. Weldon looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Weldon is breathing heavily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Weldon has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Sims is proving hard to escape from.

Sims has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Weldon can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Sims is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Weldon is aware though and is defending well.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Weldon closes the distance and clinches.
Sims has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.

Weldon goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Sims has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Weldon but great work by Sims.

Sims just trying to survive but Weldon is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

Sims rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Sims makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
A looping hook to the body misses from Weldon. Sims does a little dance to reset his feet.

Sims is trying to pull guard but Weldon turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Sims lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Sims looks up at the clock and then as Weldon takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Sims smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sims, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
