The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good leg kick by Brunos there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Deleon blocks a head kick by Brunos.
Brunos stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Brunos wants it to stay on the feet.
Brunos is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Deleon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
It looks like Brunos might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Deleon has Brunos pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Brunos manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Deleon tries to score a power double leg takedown but Brunos sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Deleon somewhat.

The fighters circling - Deleon throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Deleon could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Brunos is defended easily by Deleon.

and Brunos counters with a three punch combo that has Deleon backing up. Deleon nods at Brunos to acknowledge the strikes.
Deleon shoots in for a takedown but Brunos shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Brunos is taking a breather. Deleon says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Brunos decides to stand up.

Brunos drags the fight down to the ground.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brunos can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Deleon controls the pace.

Deleon drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Brunos manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Deleon has Brunos in his guard.

Well Brunos has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
