Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Johnson N Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jan Paul Valens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valens misses with a shot to the body
enabling Johnson to counter with a crisp jab.
Johnson goes for a double leg but Valens avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Valens continues to drive forward.
Valens looks like he wants to counter punch here.

Johnson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Valens defends well and Johnson ends up having to push Valens into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Valens has closed the distance and engaged Johnson in a clinch.

Valens is pressed up against the cage. Johnson has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Valens down to the mat. Valens avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Johnson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Valens's waist but Valens gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Johnson off to one side.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Valens wants to get back to his feet but Johnson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Valens is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

Valens is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Johnson is aware though and is defending well.

Johnson dives in and grabs Valens's left leg, looking for a takedown. Valens pushes down on Johnson's head and hops out.
