Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 28 - 33 - 2, fighting out of Montreal, Antonio Vegata!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 15 - 4, fighting out of Hilo, Freddy White!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Chris Saunders and Colin Fray.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Vegata chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before White can pounce on him.
White scores with a shot to the body.
White throws a front kick aimed at Vegata's knee but Vegata avoids it well.
White misses with a lunging right hand
and Vegata counters with a nice uppercut.
Vegata tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but White paws at him with a jab and circles away.
White throws a predictable looking body shot
and Vegata cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
We've been informed that White has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
White misses with a leg kick.

Antonio Vegata seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
White connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Vegata momentarily.
