The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corey throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Styles decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Corey tries to kick Styles off but Styles keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Corey stalks Styles and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Styles's face. Styles staggers backwards, shaken.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Corey throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Corey darts in and clinches Styles up against the cage.
Styles is looking to take this one to the mat.
Corey lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Styles backwards.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Corey creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Corey breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Styles looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Styles shoots in for a double leg but Corey sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Styles is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Corey gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Corey lands an elbow that stopped Styles in his tracks for a moment.

Corey throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Styles crashing down! Styles tries to stagger back to his feet but Corey just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Styles asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
