The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns throws a jab but it's blocked by Lapikov.
Lapikov unleashes a big counter combination but Burns bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Burns jabs at Lapikov's body.
Burns throws a nice head kick!
Lapikov scores with a jab. Burns acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Lapikov displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Burns throws out the jab.
Lapikov looks to score with a jab to the body but Burns is just out of range.
Burns misses with a jab, cross combination.
Lapikov changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Nice uppercut there from Burns .
Lapikov avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Lapikov ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Lapikov uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Burns .
A left lands for Burns .

Lapikov takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

and Burns counters with a crisp one two that drops Lapikov! Burns thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Lapikov to his feet! Lapikov is in big trouble!

Burns goes for a small jab and connects. Now Burns goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Lapikov stumbles back but Burns runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Lapikov to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Lapikov will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
