Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Phill Adams!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Exo Punch!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Elvis Blanc and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Punch is looking to clinch but Adams is avoiding it.
Adams shoots in looking for a takedown but Punch manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Adams's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Punch is defended easily by Adams.
Punch tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Adams manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Punch delivers a nice body kick.
Exo Punch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Punch displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Adams.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Adams shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Punch pinned against the cage. Punch gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Punch is looking for the big counter here.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Phill Adams. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Punch closes the distance and clinches up with Adams, looking for a takedown. Punch pushes Adams against the cage but Adams circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Punch connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Punch gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Adams counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Adams.
Punch wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Adams has him pressed against the cage.

Adams's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Punch throws a nice outside leg kick.

Punch closes the distance and clinches.

Adams pulls guard effortlessly.

Adams is working an open guard so Punch takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Punch tries to clinch but Adams moves out of range.
Adams tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Punch manages to circle out of the way.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Punch tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Adams paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Adams looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Punch is defended easily by Adams.
Punch moves in looking to clinch but Adams pushes him off.
Adams takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Punch stalks Adams and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Adams's face. Adams staggers backwards, shaken.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Punch moves to clinch but Adams breaks away

and Adams counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Punch!

Punch sneaks out the side door and pushes Adams away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Punch looks winded!

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Punch tries to clinch up but Adams circles away and keeps his distance.
Punch tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Adams swivels and escapes.
Punch misses with a takedown attempt - Adams sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Adams attempts a counter takedown but Punch avoids it well and moves away.

Adams fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Punch sprawls well initially but Adams persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Adams takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Adams in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Punch tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Adams!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Phill Adams!
