Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Yrjoe Velmu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yancy Spleeth (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Velmu comes to the cage accompanied by Knight Rider Theme Song. Yrjoe Velmu has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Yamamoto.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spleeth avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Spleeth changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Velmu tries to avoid it but Spleeth manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Velmu to the ground. Velmu escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Spleeth drives through with a takedown into guard.
Velmu is trying to keep Spleeth in close.
Velmu is wriggling around but Spleeth manages to pass to half guard.
Spleeth is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Velmu wants to improve his position but Spleeth is controlling well.
Spleeth is pressing down on Velmu's thigh, looking to free his foot. Velmu is holding on for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Velmu tries to get to full guard but Spleeth has control of the leg.

Spleeth is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Velmu doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Spleeth.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Spleeth is looking to take a break and control but Velmu is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Spleeth wants to work for an arm triangle but Velmu is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Velmu has his hands clasped together around Spleeth's back. He's all about the action.
Velmu tries to kick Spleeth off but Spleeth keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Velmu is not content to let Spleeth control the position.
Velmu is controlling Spleeth's trapped leg to prevent Spleeth from advancing to side control.

Velmu is staying active underneath Spleeth, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Velmu throws a head kick but Spleeth moves out of range.
Spleeth misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Spleeth dives in for a single leg takedown but Velmu sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Velmu cracks Spleeth with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Velmu has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Spleeth to stand back up!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Spleeth is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Velmu's half guard.

Velmu manages to escape and get back to his feet!

Spleeth fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Velmu lands a big knee! That's hurt Spleeth! Oh, he's all over the place! Velmu lands another knee that sends Spleeth to the floor and the referee steps in to end the fight!

A less than humble Yrjoe Velmu misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
