Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jesus Garza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Wells (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jesus Garza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kyle Wells!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wells looks to land a body kick but Garza moved away.
Wells tries for a takedown but Garza circles away easily
and Garza counters with a right hand to the body.
Garza looks to land a combination but Wells avoids it well.
Wells lands a really nice looking cross but Garza seems unphased.
Wells fails with an attempt to clinch.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Garza.
Wells is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Wells pushes Garza off and gets back to his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Wells misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Garza is looking for a counter combo.
Garza swats away the attempt to clinch by Wells.

Wells rushes Garza and presses him up against the cage.
A bit of stalling here from Wells.

Garza has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Wells regains guard immediately.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Wells manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Garza lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Wells kicks off Garza and gets to his feet.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Wells changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Garza tries to avoid it but Wells manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Garza to the ground. Garza escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Garza throws a quick counter head kick but Wells was just out of range.
Jesus Garza has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kyle Wells.
Wells looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Garza looked to counter with a high kick but didn't commit.

Wells takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.

Garza shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Wells is trying to defend but Garza finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Wells kicks Garza off and gets back to his feet.

Garza shoots in and bounces Wells off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Wells has his foot on Garza's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Garza works his way back into a safe position though.

and Garza counters with a series of strikes. Wells will be more careful next time no doubt.

Garza shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Wells's guard.

Garza gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Garza scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Wells wants to stand back up but Garza manages to pass into side control.

Garza looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

A close round but Kyle Wells will probably get the nod.

Garza shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Garza stops Wells from getting back to his feet.
Garza prevents Wells from improving his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Garza is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Wells is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Garza's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Garza's back!
Garza really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Garza postures up and lands a big shot to Wells's brow.

Garza is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Garza stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Garza dives in and grabs Wells's left leg, looking for a takedown. Wells pushes down on Garza's head and hops out.
Garza fails with a takedown attempt.
Garza circles away from the clinch attempt.
Wells doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Garza counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Wells throws a lazy uppercut
letting Garza counter with a right hand.

Garza lands with a nice body kick.

Garza gets a double leg takedown into Wells's guard.
Wells is looking to stand up but Garza isn't so interested in that idea.
Garza throws a big elbow that misses.

Garza stands up and waves to Wells to follow him.
Garza throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wells's waist but Wells gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Garza off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jesus Garza. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Wells is trying to maintain the position but Garza is very close to passing his half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jesus Garza dominated that second round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Kyle Wells seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Garza goes for a double leg but Wells avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Wells continues to drive forward.
Wells flicks out a counter leg kick but Garza steps away.
Wells shoots in for a takedown but Garza shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Wells is trying to escape back to his feet but Garza uses the scramble to pass into side control.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Wells tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Garza easily slips into full mount!

Garza knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wells on the ground.

Garza is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Wells can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Garza lands a big shot there that rocks Wells but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Wells is desperately trying to improve his position but Garza has a good base and remains in mount.

Garza working for a submission but Wells is keeping him at bay.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Garza jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Wells manages to avoid the submission attempt.
An elbow from Garza crashes against the mat.

Wells is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Wells can't do much from the bottom here.
Wells avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Garza.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jesus Garza showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Garza has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
