PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Baki Hanma (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mack Mythos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hanma comes into the arena with Baki and Yasha Ape AMV blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mythos lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Hanma throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Mythos misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Hanma rushes Mythos and presses him up against the cage.

Mythos got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hanma has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mythos has managed to get both his arms back between Hanma's legs - danger averted.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Mythos has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Hanma to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Mythos is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Hanma pulls down on the head and he's put Mythos to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:33 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Baki Hanma!
In his post fight interview, Baki Hanma started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
