Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brock Cawk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fred Hoogachunga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fred Hoogachunga is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Brock Cawk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fred Hoogachunga!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Viktor Lagutenko and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cawk misses with a low kick.
Nice sprawl there from Hoogachunga as Cawk shoots in.
Hoogachunga scores with a hook to the body. Cawk takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Cawk moves in looking to clinch but Hoogachunga pushes him off.

Cawk drives through with a takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hoogachunga wriggles free and stands up.

Cawk tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Hoogachunga smiles and moves away.

Hoogachunga has clasped his hands together around Cawk's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Hoogachunga connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Cawk some visible discomfort.

Hoogachunga changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Cawk looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Hoogachunga is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Cawk knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Hoogachunga decides to stand up, so the ref orders Cawk to his feet.

Hoogachunga fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Cawk, pushing him back against the cage.

Hoogachunga looks up at the clock and then as Cawk takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Hoogachunga smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Hoogachunga shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hoogachunga showed some decent athleticism there.
Hoogachunga looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Cawk tries to get to full guard but Hoogachunga has control of the leg.

Hoogachunga stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Cawk shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Hoogachunga is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Cawk jumps into side control!

Cawk wants to stand up but Hoogachunga is controlling the position.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Hoogachunga decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Hoogachunga postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Cawk to stand up.
Hoogachunga tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Cawk paws at him with a jab and circles away.

It looks like Brock Cawk has been cut.
Hoogachunga wants a takedown but no success here.
Cawk goes for a takedown attempt but Hoogachunga pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Cawk is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Hoogachunga is controlling him well.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

and Hoogachunga counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Hoogachunga.

Hoogachunga wants the takedown. Cawk is fighting it off but Hoogachunga persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Cawk's guard against the cage.

Hoogachunga has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Fred Hoogachunga showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Hoogachunga tries to close the distance and clinch but Cawk swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Hoogachunga makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Cawk takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hoogachunga stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Hoogachunga slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Hoogachunga fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Cawk sprawls well initially but Hoogachunga persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Cawk avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Hoogachunga.
Hoogachunga wants to lay and pray for a moment but Cawk keeps working.

Hoogachunga decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Cawk throws a left and a right that both miss
and Hoogachunga counters with a nice body shot.
Cawk tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Hoogachunga holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Hoogachunga creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Hoogachunga.

Cawk is trying to trip Hoogachunga. He has hold of a leg but Hoogachunga is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Cawk persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Cawk wants to control from the top but Hoogachunga keeps moving.

Hoogachunga tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Hoogachunga pushes Cawk off and gets back to his feet.
The fight stays on the outside here - Hoogachunga looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Cawk tries to keep at a distance but Hoogachunga has taken the fight into the clinch.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that's the end of the fight!
Fred Hoogachunga comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Hoogachunga has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
