Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, David Soul!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Atkins and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morris fails in his attempt to clinch.
As Morris backs off Soul throws a huge counter combo but Morris manages to avoid it all.
Left hook, right uppercut from Soul.
Morris pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Soul closes the distance and clinches.

Morris pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Soul has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Morris is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Soul clinches with his opponent.

Soul breaks the clinch.

Soul lands a left and a right that send Morris crashing to the mat, dazed. Soul thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Morris is rocked!


It looks like Michael Morris has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
No joy there for Morris, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Oh Morris is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Morris fails to land with a series of punches.
Morris throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Soul closes the distance and clinches.

Soul breaks the clinch.

Morris darts in and clinches Soul up against the cage.
Morris has had enough of the clinch but Soul keeps him there for the moment.
Morris seems to have got his legs back now.
Morris tries to circle away but Soul has him pinned against the cage.
Soul goes for a takedown attempt but Morris pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Morris looks to land a combination but Soul avoids it well.

Soul jumps guard but Morris turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Soul tries to throw a body punch but Morris avoids it by throwing Soul back against the cage.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Soul tries to work over Morris's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Morris tries to score a power double leg takedown but Soul sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Morris somewhat.

Morris is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Soul dives into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Morris is trying to get back to his feet.

Soul stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Morris swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Soul avoids a punch combination nicely.

Morris throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Soul rushes Morris and presses him up against the cage.

Morris doesn't manage to clinch there - Soul circles away.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Soul feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Morris wants to get back to his feet but Soul passes into half guard.

Morris is trying to escape back to his feet but Soul uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Soul decides to stand up, so the ref orders Morris to his feet.

Soul fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Morris, pushing him back against the cage.

Soul has Morris pressed against the cage, preventing Morris from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Soul counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Morris thinking.
Soul lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Soul.

Soul throws out a counter right but Morris avoids it with no problem.

Soul moves into range and clinches up with Morris.

Soul pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Soul connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Morris momentarily.
Morris misses with a hook
and Soul counters with a series of strikes that practically lifts Morris off his feet! He tumbles backwards, his head bouncing off the mat - Soul follows up with more strikes before the ref can step in but Morris was out before he hit the floor.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). David Soul!
