Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sage Northstar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nguyen Goku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Goku has chosen Avenged Sevenfold- Buried alive as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Northstar misses with a two punch combination.
Goku bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Northstar's head.
It looks like Sage Northstar has been cut.

A nice inside leg kick there by Northstar. That's going to slow Goku down.
A punch lands to the side of Northstar 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Goku is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Northstar takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Goku swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Goku throws the left hand but Northstar avoids the punch easily.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Goku goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Oh Northstar is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

and Northstar counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Goku paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Northstar fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Goku manages to avoid it.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Goku! But no joy.
Northstar seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Northstar throws a leg kick which misses Goku's front leg but catches the back leg as Goku tries to avoid it.
Goku has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Northstar.
Goku steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Northstar. That one must have hurt.
Northstar tries to close the distance and clinch but Goku swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Northstar avoids the head kick by Goku.
Northstar seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
An inside leg kick lands from Northstar.

Goku might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Good leg kick by Northstar there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Northstar lands a big knee! That's hurt Goku! Oh, he's all over the place! Northstar lands another knee that sends Goku to the floor and the referee steps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sage Northstar!
Sage Northstar decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
