Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Randy Weiss!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kevin Brockwell!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brockwell has closed the distance and engaged Weiss in a clinch.
Come on Brockwell - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Brockwell jumps into guard, dragging Weiss to the mat.

Weiss drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Brockwell manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Weiss has Brockwell in his guard.


Brockwell gets to his feet. Weiss looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Weiss moves in looking to clinch but Brockwell pushes him off.
Kevin Brockwell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Brockwell moves into range and clinches up with Weiss.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Brockwell pulls guard effortlessly.
Weiss postures up and lands a big shot to Brockwell's brow.
Brockwell is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.


Brockwell stands up and beckons Weiss to join him on the feet.
Randy Weiss is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Brockwell takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Brockwell throws a big counter head kick but Weiss avoids it with no problem.

Weiss wants to control but Brockwell postures up.
Brockwell is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Weiss will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Brockwell throws a strike aimed at the side of Weiss's head but Weiss avoids it well.
Brockwell sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Weiss is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Brockwell decides to stand back up. Brockwell steps back and let's Weiss get back to his feet.

Brockwell rushes Weiss and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

The fight stays on the outside here - Weiss looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Brockwell changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Weiss looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
You can see the frustration on Weiss's face as Brockwell controls the position.

Brockwell thowing shots but they're missing.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brockwell takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Brockwell is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Weiss is surviving well by controlling Brockwell's body position as best he can.

Weiss swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Brockwell shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Weiss's guard.
Weiss tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Brockwell thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Weiss tries to bench press Brockwell off him but Brockwell keeps the position.

Brockwell tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Brockwell has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Weiss is looking to regain half guard here but Brockwell keeps moving and retains side control.

Brockwell has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Brockwell postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Brockwell tries to move into full mount but can't pass Weiss's legs.
Brockwell has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Brockwell shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Brockwell was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Weiss tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.

Brockwell escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Weiss gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Weiss throws a strike but Brockwell rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Kevin Brockwell comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Brockwell has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
