Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hong Nixon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Christopher Cardiff!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cardiff shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Cardiff would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Cardiff connects with a couple of short punches.
Cardiff works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Nixon on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Cardiff working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Cardiff wants to control but Nixon is keeping him busy.
Cardiff might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Nixon haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Nixon tries to roll over but Cardiff keeps him under control.
Cardiff is keen to just control but Nixon is a slippery customer.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nixon really is a fat lump.

Cardiff is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Nixon is just riding it out for now. Cardiff eventually gives up the hold.

Cardiff slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Nixon is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Cardiff is thwarting Nixon's attempts to control the position.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Cardiff lands a nice short elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cardiff is trying to control. Nixon wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Cardiff scores with a big shot! Nixon's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Nixon! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
