Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Distor Centura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James La Grande (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Centura comes into the arena with 12 Stones - Bulletproof blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 7 - 1, fighting out of New York, Distor Centura!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James La Grande!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Jorge Garcia and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
La Grande misses with a low kick as Centura jumps back.
Centura swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by La Grande.
The fighters circling - La Grande throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
La Grande fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Centura avoids it really well and circles away.

La Grande gets cracked there but stands up to it.
La Grande throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Centura throws a jab but it's blocked by La Grande.
La Grande attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
La Grande tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Centura was well out of range. Poor timing from La Grande.

And La Grande tries to counter it with a takedown but Centura pushes his down on his head and steps out.
The fighters circling - La Grande throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Centura fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but La Grande is out of range.

Centura swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

La Grande moves into range and connects with a jab.
Centura finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

enabling La Grande to counter with a crisp jab.
James La Grande seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from La Grande.
La Grande ducks under a wild hook from Centura.
La Grande drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Centura defends it well.
La Grande throws a lazy right hand but Centura sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

La Grande closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - La Grande lands in his opponent's guard.
La Grande stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Centura swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Centura might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

La Grande is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Centura defends well.

La Grande escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Centura gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

La Grande is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Centura rolls with it to try and escape but La Grande cranks on the arm and Centura is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!

James La Grande spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
