Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Anton Archer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Edwards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Edwards has chosen Gee as his entrance music. Ben Edwards has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Anton Archer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ben Edwards!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Johanna Lukiainen and Matti Vanhoillinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edwards moves to clinch but Archer breaks away

and Archer decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Edwards's guard.
Archer passes into half guard.
Archer throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Archer is working for a kimura but Edwards is defending it quite comfortably.
Archer is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Archer uses his free foot to push down on Edwards's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Edwards.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Archer sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Edwards is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Archer controlling the position easily from mount.
Archer really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Archer takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Archer working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Edwards turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Archer off and cradles Edwards's limp body as Archer celebrates with his corner.
