Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jacob Sertho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Ledley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sertho throws a head kick that misses.
Ledley moves out of range as Sertho throws a body kick.

Ledley changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sertho looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The referee asks Ledley politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Ledley prefers to stall for the moment though.
Sertho is looking to regain half guard here but Ledley keeps moving and retains side control.

Ledley is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Sertho has escaped the position, nice work there.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Sertho had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Ledley defends it easily.

That was a close round but I would say that Jacob Sertho will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Ledley is taking a breather. Sertho says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Sertho pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Sertho is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Sertho parries the strikes from Ledley easily there. Ledley is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Sertho to escape.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Let's hope that Ledley has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Well Ledley has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
