PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Enrique Rold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Timo Vesala (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vesala is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Bomfunk MC's - Freestyler. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vesala moves in looking to clinch but Rold pushes him off.
Vesala just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromRold.

Vesala bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Rold is looking to regain half guard here but Vesala keeps moving and retains side control.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Rold trying his best to control but Vesala has mounted him.

Vesala wants to finish this one by submission but Rold is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Vesala.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Rold is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Vesala not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Rold is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

That was a close round but I would say that Enrique Rold will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Rold throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Rold just misses with a punch to the body.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Rold.
Vesala doesn't manage to clinch there - Rold circles away.
Rold throws a quick counter kick to the body but Vesala avoids it.
Rold misses with a hook. Vesala ducked under it nicely.
Vesala tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rold swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Rold pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Rold wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Vesala has him pressed against the ropes.

Rold blocks a punch to the side of the head.
The referee is keeping an eye on Vesala - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Rold has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Vesala is trying to keep an underhook but Rold manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Vesala is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Rold's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Rold's back!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rold has his hands over his head blocking the strikes from Vesala.

Vesala has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Rold is defending well but eventually Vesala manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Rold has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
