Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Moshe Mclaughlin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nate Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Moshe Mclaughlin!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Nate Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Taro Takaoka and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mclaughlin clinches up against the cage.
Diaz is trying to drag Mclaughlin to the mat but Mclaughlin just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Diaz gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Mclaughlin.
Diaz prevents the takedown attempt.
Mclaughlin drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Diaz gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Moshe Mclaughlin. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Diaz fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Mclaughlin to the ground. Diaz is now in Mclaughlin's guard.

Diaz changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Mclaughlin fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Mclaughlin shoots for a double leg takedown but Diaz sprawls well. He's pushed Mclaughlin's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

and Mclaughlin counters with a shoot takedown. Diaz fights it but they end up in guard.

Diaz is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Mclaughlin pulls his head out easily.
Mclaughlin seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Mclaughlin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Diaz on the ground.

Diaz is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Diaz throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Mclaughlin manages to pass to side control.

Diaz is looking to regain half guard here but Mclaughlin keeps moving and retains side control.

Mclaughlin goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Diaz has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Mclaughlin but great work by Diaz.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Diaz wants to control but Mclaughlin is keeping him busy.

Nate Diaz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Mclaughlin wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Diaz's closed guard. He's half up but Diaz has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Diaz pivots and extends the arm, Mclaughlin falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Diaz! Well done that man!
