Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Matthew Dean!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Daniel Franklin and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dean throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Burt wants to clinch.
A head kick by Burt misses
and Dean counters by clinching up.
Dean drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Burt working hard to break the clinch.
Burt tries to break free but Dean pushes him back against the cage.
Burt looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dean's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Burt moves into the clinch.
Dean gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Dean distracts Burt with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Dean working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Dean working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Burt's head.
Burt knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dean on the ground.
Dean preventing the sweep.
Dean distracts Burt with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Dean pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Burt is keeping the position for now.
Dean has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Dean engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Burt tries to kick Dean off but Dean keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Dean working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Dean is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Burt has hold of Dean's hands but Dean slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Dean is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Dean takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Dean lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Burt wants to control but Dean is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dean slips a nice elbow through Burt's hands, connecting with Burt's forehead.
Dean lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Dean looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Dean moves into full mount! Burt won't be happy about that!
Dean breaks from Burt's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Burt is rocked!

Oooh a big shot lands for Dean! Burt is out! The ref dives in to save him from more punishment!
