PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Warring (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Batts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Warring comes to the cage accompanied by Lick my chocolate salty balls live by chef from South Park. Batts has chosen Midnight City - By: M83 as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marcus Warring!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Peter Batts!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Fedor Mirinova and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Batts takes a swing at Warring's ribcage but misses.
Warring fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Batts checks it well.
The crowd cheers as Batts lands an impressive looking overhand right. Warring doesn't seem phased though.
Batts throws a sloppy head kick and Warring moves out of range easily.
Batts checks a low kick from Warring.
Batts darts in looking for a takedown but Warring gets double underhooks and turns Batts into the cage.
Warring looks to land a right hand but Batts moved out of range.
A head kick from Batts lands but Warring takes it in his stride.
Batts has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Batts throws a shot from downtown. Warring moves away and avoids it.
Batts misses with a hook.

and Warring counters with a nice low kick that buckles Batts's knee momentarily.
Batts waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Warring.
Batts takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Warring misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Batts shoots in for a takedown but Warring shows good takedown defense.
Warring throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Batts looks to land a left hand but Warring moved out of range nicely.
Batts throws a body shot but no joy.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Batts throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Warring throwing a counter right hand but Batts manages to avoid it.
Batts has a takedown stuffed.
Marcus Warring has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Peter Batts.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Batts takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Warring cracks Batts with a good jab.
Batts lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Warring circles away quickly and effectively.
Batts throws a jab but it's blocked by Warring.
Warring throws a shot from downtown. Batts moves away and avoids it.

Batts closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Warring breaks from the clinch.
Batts throws a head kick that misses.
Batts misses with a combination
and Batts takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Batts throws a series of punches but Warring avoids them all with ease.
Batts blocks a head kick by Warring.

Batts takes the fight into the clinch.
Batts has a couple of punches blocked by Warring.

Batts escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Batts gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Peter Batts seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Batts is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Warring's half guard.

Batts seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Warring is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Peter Batts!
Peter Batts seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
In defeat, Marcus Warring stepped up to the mic, saying 'I'm done in mma'.
