The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swanson takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Lopatin slips under a jab.
Swanson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Lopatin.
As Swanson backs away, Lopatin returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

Swanson tries to bum rush Lopatin with a series of wild strikes but Lopatin uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Lopatin dodges the punch combination from Swanson .
We've been told by Lopatin's head coaches at Abobomination Training that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Swanson misses with a wild combination.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Swanson , as that shot connected.
Lopatin throws a head kick that misses.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
No joy there for Swanson , who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Raphael Swanson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lopatin throws a push kick but Swanson slaps the foot to one side.
A combination from Swanson does no damage.

Lopatin takes the fight into the clinch.
Lopatin drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Lopatin is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

It looked like Lopatin was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Swanson throws a series of punches but Lopatin avoids them all with ease.
